Founded in 2017 by 2 brothers, Studio Maximus, LLC is proud to present its first board game titled Sacred Wars – Tactics Arena. This game is the culmination of the tireless work and years of research by Hector Lizarraga, the sole designer, artist, writer, and creative director. Together with his brother, Miguel Lizarraga, an Electrical Engineer and Computer Programmer, they are the driving force behind this endeavor to bring stories to life in new ways to be experienced.

Sacred Wars offers a unique way of playing by combining our physical and digital worlds. Each card has a unique QR Code that can be scanned with our Companion App to bring the art to life. The app augments the playing experience with visual and sound effects for combat and an easy to use interface to keep track of all the stats of the game.

The Lore

In the beginning there was Chaos. And Chaos preferred it that way. Order emerged from the endless cycle of creation and destruction of the primordial Chaos to create the Universe. Within the Universe lies the world of Mater, tragically destined to be the battleground between the Forces of Order and the Forces of Chaos.

At first the people of Mater were united under one ruler and Order was preserved. After the First Chaos War humanity was separated and spread across 12 continents. Now with a new Chaos War on the horizon, humanity must reunite or perish.
